Barmaz - The ruins of the abandoned village

Barmaz is an abandoned rural village of '700 in the Aosta's Valley

It is a handful of houses in ruins in St-Denis, on the left bank of the river Dora and stands outin its desolation, the sight of those passing on the nearby highway 26.
Does not have a modern road, can only be reached by walking on a farm road.
It has never been reached by a water system for drinking water much less from sewerage networks and even less from the power supply.
Is one of the most successful examples of rural architecture in the Aosta's Valley and its houses are of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, they are inhabited by more than 50 years. The houses were used until there were meadows for grazing cattle, fields planted with rye and terraced vineyards.
